This patient is a pop singer and an actor from London. He had earlier got a hair transplant done in the frontal area with which he wasn’t very happy.
The hairline looked very unnatural with a lot of plugging. His hair used to look like a wig and that really made him very conscious about his looks. In the kind of profession he was in, it was totally unacceptable.
He also had significant thinning in the crown area. The major concerns of the patient were hairline correction and the crown area filling. Also, he didn’t want to shave off because he had some shoots coming up.
The earlier surgery he had undergone somewhere else was an FUE.
He came to know about Satya clinic through one of his friends who had undergone a transplant at Satya. We spent a lot of time with this patient to understand his needs, concerns, apprehensions & expectations. Obviously, the capability of his donor area to yield a good number of grafts was also to be checked.
Whenever we are dealing with a repair case who has undergone one or more transplants previously, the donor area becomes a concern. Fortunately, Manjeet still had a good Donor area left.
If a person has undergone an FUE surgery earlier, the donor area gets depleted and it is not a good idea to repeat another FUE from the same donor zone. We always emphasize this fact that most of the multi-hair grafts have already been extracted in the first FUE surgery. In many cases, extraction has even been done from the non-permanent donor zone.
Because of the scarring of previous FUE surgery, the angles of remaining hair change leading to higher transection rates. You can discuss these things with us or watch our educational videos distributed on social media platforms.
In this patient, multi-hair grafts had been used in the frontal hairline zone and the temples had not been created at all, which is why it was looking unnatural and ugly. We would have loved to extract the wrongly planted grafts and recreate the temples but we could not do this as the patient had an important event coming up. We worked upon the hairline making it more subtle and natural. The surgery was done without shaving off the head by the FUT method.
The Crown area was covered simultaneously and the grafts were planted in between the existing hair.
Patient went back to London the very next day and got his stitches removed their
itself. He kept on updating us with his pictures which shows continuous improvement. He came to India after a year and we were amazed to see another magical transformation.
His hairline looked stunning and now he could style his hair the way he always wanted. Being in the glamour industry, this procedure made his life easy. The crown area also looks covered so nicely that it was impossible to say that a transplant has been done.
Another concern with FUT surgery is the scar. Because of the trichophytic closure technique done for him, there was hardly any scar and the donor area was also saved for future usage.
