Crown is always considered to be a difficult area as far as hair restoration is concerned.
We want to present this case as people have all sorts of misconceptions regarding crown area transplant as well as FUT technique.
Many people think that crown hair transplant does not succeed, some think that hair doesn’t grow in the crown area. Many also think that crown improves on medicine & there is no need to transplant in that area.
There are some other theories which state that FUT hair transplant can cause a big scar at the back of your head.
Naeem had baldness in the crown area extending to the middle of the scalp but the hair line was intact. We did 2800 FUT grafts for him & you can see an amazing transformation & nice coverage.
The result becomes even more significant because this was FUT, where we don’t have a choice to choose the multi-hair grafts, unlike FUE. This means less number of hair for the same number of grafts as compared to FUE.
But it also means more multi-hair grafts still remaining in the donor for future use.
Moreover if you take a look at the donor, because of trichophytic closure technique there is hardly any scar visible.
Crown area hair transplant is more challenging and needs artistic skills to create the natural whorl pattern.
The patient was given minoxidil 5% three times a week & nutritional supplements. Finasteride was not given to the patient. So the result which you are seeing could have been boosted by adding finasteride. But not every patient needs finasteride. But most of the results which you see on the internet are the ones which are boosted by 1 mg per day finasteride. This can make the result look many times thicker, dense & adds on to the aesthetics of the final result.
So be careful, just don’t blindly trust anyone.
BE WISE, THINK TWICE.
